Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe Wind Direction: ssw Wind Stength: 10/14 Surf / Sea State: choppy Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: 16 Weather: sunny Max Speed: 21.91 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 28 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Out with the kids at Landguard after dinner and the meter was reading
15kts+ onshore so things were looking good for later :) I made it to the
Dip just after 4 as Swainy arrived but the wind had eased so I had no
choice but to rig the 8.5(9.4 has big hole) and take the longboard for a
cruise to the docks as it was such a lovelly afternoon. The beat was nothing
special as I was underpowered and the reach back was slow going in the
light wind and chop.Swainy was still sitting on the beach with his 8m
rigged but not used while David Coles was being bounced all over the place
on his formula board and 11m !!! Then Nick Cadge went out and got going on
his 125lt and 8m so I changed to the carve 145 and had over an hour
blasting out to the red and white bouy only coming off the water at 8.30 :)
Poor Swainy only had a couple of floundering runs and packed up too early
and missed the wind :) So a good night out in the sunshine with 6
windsurfers and the same number of kiters and more wind forecast !!!
